Directors:

Malcolm D Brown

B. Arch. (hons), ANZIA, ARIBA.

With over 40 years in the profession, Malcolm brings a wealth of expertise to Brown Day Group, and has worked on a huge variety of projects. His specialist areas of work include master-planning, commercial, educational, health, and heritage buildings, as well as residential projects.

He has personal involvement in the upfront planning and design of projects and maintains an overview of subsequent stages. Malcolm brings strong sketching and communication skills to design and project teams with which he is involved.

Paul Somerford

B. Arch. (hons), NZCD, ANZIA.

With over 25 years of architectural experience, Paul has worked on a range of different building types including residential, commercial, industrial and hospitality projects. He is committed to quality design with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

Paul’s design skill and commitment to ensure good communication with clients, consultants and contractors achieves innovative and efficient design solutions for every project.

Paul has worked with architectural practices in New Zealand and Australia including Malcolm Brown Architects, Stephenson and Turner and Pete Bossley Architects. Paul set up his own practice in 2000 specialising in residential work and merged with two other practices in 2007 to form Brown Day Group Architects.

Graeme Wrack

B. Arch., B.B.Sc., ANZIA.

With over 20 years of architectural experience, Graeme has worked on a range of different building types including residential, commercial, public, transport, and industrial projects. He is dedicated to implementing a client's brief with the most efficient design, using technically innovative methods, on budget and on time.

Graeme has a depth of overseas experience including working in Sydney, Australia, Toronto, Canada, New York, USA, and Capetown, South Africa, before returning to Auckland and working in several key architectural practices. Graeme set up his private practice in 2000 specialising in residential and commercial projects and merged with two other practices in 2007 to form Brown Day Group Architects. He is committed to quality design with a strong emphasis on sustainability.

Jason Matheson

Dip A.D. & B.D.(Holmesglen Institute of Tafe). Green Star New Zealand Accredited Professional

Jason has worked on many and varied projects at Brown Day Group with experience in retail, education, commercial office and residential projects. He is actively involved from concept design through to contract documentation and administration. Jason is committed to innovated design solutions for each project.

Jason has been accredited by the Green Star New Zealand Council, and provides environmentally sustainable principles and advice on projects.
